CS2 2D demo viewer
A 2D demo viewer replays a match from above, like a radar: you see every player, all the utility and the timings at once. The cs2demo.gg viewer runs in your browser; there is nothing to install and the game doesn't need to be open.
What you see
- Where all 10 players are, where they look and how much health they have
- Smokes, molotovs, flashes, HE grenades, the bomb and every kill
- A timeline coloured by round winner, with events marked on it
- 1x, 2x and 4x speed, zoom and pan, and following any player you click
- Decision points: opening duels, untraded deaths, clutches, flashes that blinded teammates, loud approaches, and executes and retakes without utility
How to use it
- Sign in with Steam: no password, only your public profile.
- Click Upload & analyze and choose your demo. Besides
.dem, zip, rar, 7z, gz, bz2 and zst archives work too; several maps in one archive become separate demos. - The demo is processed in a few seconds and opens on the radar. Uploaded demos stay in your library so you can reopen them any time.
Not sure where to find your demo? See How to download CS2 demos.
How it differs from the in-game demo player
| 2D viewer | In-game demo | |
|---|---|---|
| What you need | A browser | A PC with CS2 installed |
| View | All 10 players on one screen | One player's eyes or a free camera |
| Old demos after a game update | Read independently of the game | May not open |
| Mistake analysis | Decision points and a coach | None |
For aim and crosshair placement the in-game demo is still best; How to watch CS2 demos explains how to use the two together.
AI coach and "Jump to tick"
If you like, let the coach analyze the match: mistakes are listed by importance, and the Jump to tick button next to each one takes the radar to 3 seconds before the moment and follows the player involved. Focus on the whole team or on one player.
Is it free?
Uploading, the 2D viewer, decision points and the rule-based coach are free. Only the AI (Claude) analysis uses credits; reopening a saved analysis is free, and a failed analysis is refunded.
